Glasscoat 754

Description

Glasscoat 754 is applied to blank and mould equipment to facilitate a start-up during job changes. Glasscoat 754 will ensure a smooth start-up and minimize lost production. Glasscoat 754 allows operators to focus their attention on fine-tuning various parameters of the I.S. machine and checking bottle quality, rather than on swabbing. This contributes to minimizing the time required to start producing bottles of acceptable quality.
Rather than waiting 10 to 20 minutes to pack the first bottle after a job change, with a good pre-coat, production of bottles of an acceptable quality can usually begin right away assuming that the mould equipment is heated to operating temperature before being put into service.
Glasscoat 754 a water based semi-permanent, non-toxic, non-hazardous coating used as a glass release agent for blanks, molds, neck rings, bottom plates, and related equipment in the glass container industry. It is supplied as a 1- component product. Glasscoat 754 is a mix of surfactants, polymers, adhesives and graphite.
Glasscoat 754 should be applied by a spray gun and will form a smooth, uniform, tightly bonded film of graphite onto mold equipment surfaces.
